Dimitrios Koutsompolis

Brief Role in the Project: Media and content analyst
National and Kapodistrian University of Athens

Dimitrios Koutsompolis was born in Athens. In 1998 he graduated from the Department of Communication  and Media Studies of the University of Athens. In 1999 he followed postgraduate studies on Communication  in the same department, focusing on visual communication and new technologies. He is a Laboratory Teaching Staff at the Laboratory of New Technologies in Communication, Education and the Mass Media, at the  Department of Communication and Media Studies - National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (UoA) and  also a PhD Candidate at the same Department. He is the Head of the Communication and Press Office of the  National and Kapodistrian University of Athens since 2002 and also the person in charge for the development of many publications and for the organization of many scientific events at the University of Athens.

His research interests include communication, new technologies in journalism and the media, visual  communication, press offices organization, social media and communication and doctor and patient  communication.
